Community Collaborative Relationships:

The development of Club Red: Moab Teen Center is the direct result of ongoing community collaborations. The program was created out of a community-wide initiative to improve the lives of Grand County teens and it continues to maintain collaborative partnerships with a variety of organizations.  Thanks to all of our partners for all of their help and support!!!

City of Moab:

The City of Moab expanded its Recreation Department in 2005 to include Club Red. The City provides administrative oversight for the teen center’s Program Director, its budgetary needs, and the teen center facility. Moreover, since the teen center facility is owned and maintained by the City, the City’s Public Works Department manages the teen center site renovation as one of its projects.

Four Corners Community Behavioral Health:

Four Corners Community Behavioral Health operates a pregnancy prevention program for teens and works with Grand County High School Peer Mentoring. Our current goal is to make Four Corners programming and resources available at the teen center in an effort to reach more Grand County youth.

Seekhaven Family Crisis and Resource Center:

Seekhaven provides shelter and resources for battered women and their families. The organization also has an outreach program that educates youth about domestic violence issues. We hope that by partnering together we can provide information to more teens and ensure that they become familiar with local domestic violence resources and support staff.

Grand County School District:

Club Red partners with the Grand County School district to maintain consistency and positive peer relationships with students.  We partner with the BEACON afterschool program to provide engaging activities for teens to participate in during after school hours.

BEACON Afterschool Program:

BEACON provides a diverse range of academic tutoring and homework assistance outside of the school day in order to help students meet local and state academic standards.  They also provide healthy after school environments with art, recreational and life skills activities and clubs.  Club Red often partners with BEACON for afterschool events to provide prevention programming to students.

Tobacco Prevention and Control Program:

Financial assistance from the Tobacco Prevention and Control program enabled Club Red to co direct the Grand County Middle School Teen Advocates.  The Teen Advocates have hosted events in the community addressing the need to create Smoke Free Homes and Cars in Grand County.  The advocates have done events for National awareness days such as Kick Butt’s Day and Great American Smokeout, they have done radio interviews and PSA’s and being involved in multiple local events to spread their message.

Wabi Sabi, Moab:

The teen center is a 2010 Wabi Sabi partner organization. Wabi Sabi is a local non-profit that exists to support the community as well as its partner organizations through donations of funding and goods generated by its thrift stores and fundraising events. Wabi Sabi also works to assist its partner organizations by providing educational outreach and sponsoring community workshops.

Youth Garden Project:

We work with Youth Garden Project to assist each other with teen related activities.  Youth Garden Project administrates our Americorps volunteers.  Those volunteers spend their time during our drop-in programming supervising, mentoring and teaching the teens.  They also develop programming and help out at events that Youth Garden Project hosts.

Bike Barn:

Bike Barn is a volunteer run program that provides participants with the opportunity to gain hands on skills and in bicycle maintenance and safety.  The Bike Barn has joined Club Red in offering bicycle maintenance classes to our teens as well as a 4 week session on recycled bike parts crafts.

We also partner with local business owners to sponsor events such as rafting trips, BMX races, Skateboarding Competitions and more.
