Jen Williams, Program Director

Jen has worked at Club Red since 2007.  She graduated from Western Washington University in 2005 with a degree in Recreation Management and an emphasis in Recreation Therapy.  She finished an internship at Child Study and Treatment Center in Lakewood, WA a residential facility for youth ages 5-17.  Her prior work experience includes: AmeriCorps working with homeless youth, YMCA: Teen Night director, Teen Center assistant, Assistant Camp Director, River Guide, and an instructional assistant to youth with Autism.  Her interests include the outdoors and creating new experiences for kids, introducing them to new recreational activities, especially those surrounding their communities.

Jane Butter, Activity Director

Jane Butter has worked at Club Red since October of 2009.  She grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, but has always been a lover of redrocks at heart.  She graduated from Lewis and Clark College in 2007, with a BA in Environmental Studies and Communication.  Prior to her work at the Moab Teen Center, she worked as the Education Specialist for the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in Kanab, UT.  She has also worked as a river guide in the Moab area since 2005.  She spends her free time outdoors playing on the river, hiking through canyons, snowboarding down mountains, and playing guitar.  She also enjoys international travel and has been to 13 different countries.  She loves working with youth, and is happy to be a part of Club Red!    

Jessica Cartwright, AmeriCorps Volunteer

Jessica is 22 years old.  She went to Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR, where she received a BA with an English major and an Art minor.  She enjoys writing and painting and is interested in pursuing a career in editing.  She loves to read and her favorite book is A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson.  While at Lewis and Clark, Jessica had the opportunity to study abroad in Australia and New Zealand.  This travel instilled a great love for traveling and learning about different cultures.  She has particular interest in working to create cohesive communities across borders.  Last March she traveled to Vietnam with a group called IVUmed to provide volunteer medical care in Nha Trang.  Jessica has a cabin at Pack Creek Ranch and has been visiting Moab her entire life.  She has a deep love for the outdoors and the desert, and spends lots of time hiking and running rivers.  She is excited to be a part of Club Red, getting an opportunity to be a part of the local Moab community.

Celeste Kelley, AmeriCorps Volunteer

Meet Celeste! Celeste Kelley grew up in Los Angeles, California where she spent her youth gardening, and playing sports. She attended Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon where she received a degree in Sociology/ Anthropology in May, 2009. She has experience as a youth soccer coach and as a camp counselor at the Los Angeles Zoo. Celeste played soccer in college and is an avid road biker. She just returned from a two-month bike tour in South America. She is excited to join the Club Red team and dedicate the next nine months of her Americorps service term to the youth and community of Moab.
